The Ogun State Commissioner for Forestry, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun, has strongly refuted allegations circulating in some political circles that he has been verbally attacking former Ogun State governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba, during his political consultations across his federal constituency.

In a press statement released on Monday, March 9, 2026, Engr. Oludotun described the claims as false, misleading, and a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation and create unnecessary tension within the political space.

The commissioner stated categorically that at no time did he abuse or spoke ill of the elder statesman anywhere in the state. According to him, Chief Osoba remains “my father, my benefactor, and a respected national figure whose experience and political wisdom continue to guide younger politicians.” Oludotun emphasized that he holds Baba Osoba in the highest esteem and continues to learn from his vast political experience.

According to a statement issued by Engr Oludotun, “Chief Olusegun Osoba is a national asset and a respected leader. As a young politician in Ogun State, I am privileged to benefit from his wealth of wisdom and political guidance,”

The commissioner also warned individuals or groups spreading insults against the former governor in his name to desist immediately. He stressed that he has never authorized anyone to speak against Osoba on his behalf and would not tolerate such actions. According to him, anyone found engaging in such conduct while claiming to represent him will face legal consequences.
